What's a BIN, and where do I find it?
The BIN (Bank Identification Number) is the first 11 digits of any card number. It identifies the issuer and card type, which is what determines the interchange rate — so those first digits are all Savant needs. You never enter a full card number.
Why do commercial cards cost me more?
Commercial, corporate, and purchasing cards carry higher interchange than consumer debit or credit — often 2.5–3%+ versus well under 1%. When a buyer pays you on one, that spread comes straight out of your margin.
Is my card data safe here?
Yes. The tool only uses the first 11 digits, which aren't a usable card number. Even if you enter a full card number, the rest is ignored — never analyzed, transmitted, or stored.
